Fully-Funded Telehealth Program for Mental Health Services Available to All Schools in Rural Arizona Counties

Mental health services accessible now

Thanks to funding from the Arizona Department of Education (ADE), all schools in rural counties – outside of Pima and Maricopa – can now sign up for mental health support and start referring students as soon as March 1, 2025. Services are offered at no cost to schools and are covered by insurance.

No waitlists for care

In participating schools, students and families can see an Arizona-licensed therapist within 1 week of a referral, with no waitlists.

Parental consent required

Sessions are completely voluntary, require parental/guardian consent, and can be held after school or during school hours at the discretion of the student, family, and school.

Specialized care in multiple languages

Services include one-on-one therapy, psychiatry, family therapy, and parent coaching. Clinicians can support families with a variety of needs and speak English, Spanish, and several other languages.

Accessible and flexible

Sessions can be scheduled between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM, weekdays and weekends, making it easier for students and families to get support when it works best for them.

1-1 Evidence-Based Therapy

Students (PK-12) meet virtually with licensed therapists who specialize in supporting young people. Through regular sessions, typically for 10-12 weeks with some students engaging for up to one year, students learn to understand their emotions, develop practical coping skills, and build resilience to handle life's challenges.

Psychiatry & Medication Management

Comprehensive psychiatric support from experienced child psychiatrists and nurse practitioners, including evaluations, medication management, and ongoing care coordination. Treatment plans are tailored to each student's needs with regular monitoring to ensure effectiveness.

Parent Guidance

One-on-one sessions with child mental health experts who provide personalized guidance on supporting a child's wellbeing. Parents will get practical strategies and expert advice for managing specific concerns, from anxiety to school challenges.

Family Therapy

Joint sessions with students and family members focus on improving communication, resolving conflicts, and strengthening relationships. They work together with a family specialist to develop solutions that help everyone thrive.
