Dr. Chen is a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist and has spent over 15 years working with students and families in the Boston area, including at Massachusetts General Hospital, Newton-Wellesley Hospital, and Boston Children’s Hospital. Dr. Chen is passionate about promoting resiliency and overall wellness in children, and her clinical skills and experience span many contexts, including school- and family-based interventions and supporting families with diverse cultural backgrounds. Dr. Chen is on faculty at Harvard Medical School, a previous SAMHSA Minority Fellow, and a current Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar.

Sarah Nichols, MEd, LICSW is the Director of School Success at Cartwheel Care. Sarah is a former special education teacher and holds a MEd from Pace University, in addition to being a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with an MSW from Boston University. She firmly believes in people’s ability to change, at all stages of life. Sarah approaches her clinical work with a solution’s focused approach, and draws on methodology from Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and General Psychiatric Management. She has experience working in both education and clinical settings in five schools in NYC and Boston. Sarah worked in Adolescent Residential Treatment for several years at McLean Hospital and continues to hold a position as Supervisor in the department.
